THE CALLING OF BABA JOHN MASOWE TO HIS MISSION:

THE CALLING OF BABA JOHN MASOWE TO HIS MISSION:

[AS NARRATED BY SAMSON MATIVERA]

People of God, please believe these divine news because they are true. Being a preacher i did believe the news before i was told the story i am about to relate to you now. Father John of the wilderness is God there is no doubt- you believe that or you don’t want to believe, that won’t change the truth.
There were men by name Baba Chaurombe Mazhambe and Baba Samson Mativera who were staying with Father John before he was called by God for his work, at that time he went by the name “Shoniwa” and by His nickname was “Sixpence”. Baba Samson Mativera said that one day when they were fast asleep, they woke up suddenly to find that Shoniwa (Sixpence) was not at his normal sleeping place, they heard him speaking outside the hut they were sleeping in. They were amazed how he got out since the door was still barred and the locking logs were still in place.
As he was outside they heard him speaking with Satan, Satan said to him “Heaven and earth have been given to Him (that is Shoniwa Sixpence Masedza)”. Shoniwa then told the devil to leave him alone. The devil said a second time “heaven and earth are now yours” and Sixpence replied again “Depart from me Satan”.
Then the devil left for a few minutes and he came back again repeating himself and sixpence told him to depart from him and to leave him alone. Satan finally told Sixpence that he had come to take his four shillings from his body side and sixpence replied, “Depart from me Satan”. Sixpence then knocked and the door was opened for him.
Having entered, the friends noticed that his sickness had worsened. They asked Him how he got out, he told them, he found himself outside. He did not know how. They asked him with whom he was talking to, he told them, it was the devil who had come to take from him (Sixpence) four shillings. He told them that, the devil removed four shillings from his left body side. Satan told Sixpence that he must leave him and that heaven and earth was then his (Sixpence)
When Sixpence entered the hut, He was cold and it was midnight. Sixpence was seriously sick, he was groaning and gasping. He was dying and then passed away in the morning before sunrise. At sunrise, those who were staying with him heard a noise from God calling out “Sixpence! Sixpence! Sixpence!” three times. Sixpence replied, “You are the Lord” the voice of God said “Whom are you addressing as Lord”?
He answered “Have mercy on me”. The voice again said,” whom do you, ask to have mercy on you? And, he replied: “You are the Lord “. When he was being asked these questions, he kept on answering “Have mercy on me Lord’’. The people who were together with him in the hut could see his corpse on the floor but his voice was speaking with God in heaven. The voice of God then said to him to sing a song, ‘have mercy on us, Alleluia, Alleluia’’.
God then asked him if he knew why he had been sick for a long time. Sixpence responded by saying that he did not know, addressing whom he was taking to as Lord. God told him that he was sick because of sins he committed against God on earth since birth. Sixpence body seemed lifeless at that time. His friends could hear his voice answering him from heaven. They were hearing the voices because his body was lying there before them. His friends said to themselves that one of them was talking with God. God then told Sixpence that he (God) wanted Sixpence to come back to heaven to do God’s work. Sixpence then asked God to allow him to go back to the multitude on earth, he pleaded for mercy from God. God told him then to go back on earth. His friends who were next to Sixpence body were happy to hear that their friend was allowed to return to earth, because they thought he had gone forever.
His friends heard his spirit getting back into the body making a sound like that of air being pumped into a bicycle. Sixpence then told his friends to hold him. Sixpence told his friends that people on earth were in the darkness of darkness and asked his friends if they heard him talking with God and they told him that they did. He also told them that God wanted him to return to heaven in order to do his work but him Sixpence asked to be sent on earth to teach people about God. Sixpence stayed with them for during the day, but same day in the evening he died again. Before he died he instructed them in this way. When you see that I am dead, you are to take these two boys, (there were two boys with us called Paul and Luke). You are to put one at my feet and one at my head (see John 20 vs.12). When they are this position, the one who is at my head will pray first like this:” God the Father, God the Son, Amen” Then they are to exchange places i.e. the one who was at my head will now take the place at my feet and vice versa.
They are to continue praying in the same order and to keep changing places. Those boys spent the whole night doing as he said until he woke up from the dead again. After that, they never did it again. It was to be for that day only. We could hear him talking with God while the Body was in front of us. The same procedure was followed. His friends heard a voice of God saying “I anoint you I baptize you in the name of the father, the son and the Holy Spirit”. Sixpence was told by God that his name was then “Father John”. {Let’s agree that from now on we shall address Sixpence as father John}.
Father John was told by God that he (father John, was there in the beginning and today he still lived). He was told to go back and tell people not to call Him “Sixpence” any longer. People had to call him father John (baba Johane). He was told to respect everybody both young and old and he had to call them all by their titles of respect, viz “father, mother, tata, mama” he was told to prepare God’s way until the end of the world. He was told to listen and to respect everybody regardless of age. He was told that all those who believe in him will have everlasting joy. Whatever he said on earth, God will be listening to hear in heaven.

His friends with Him in the hut heard him talking with Jehovah(God).Father John was also given by God the Ten Commandments “You shall have no other God beside me” He replied, Lord “Have mercy on us and help us to keep the Ten Commandments. God said, ‘you shall not make for yourself a graven image, he answered Lord have mercy on us and help us to keep the Ten Commandments. Without wasting time, all the Ten Commandments laws were repeated one by one and Father John after each law was repeating himself saying “Lord have mercy on us to keep the Ten commandments. In other words, even today, the last days, the Ten Commandments are still in force and have to be obeyed, more especially the keeping/observance of the Sabbath, which is on Saturday. {I am worried because church leaders still teach that people of God should observe Sunday as Holy Sabbath, which I totally disagree with}.
Another one that worries me again is adultery, church leaders do not stress in the teachings or preaching how serious or bad it is to commit adultery. The world generally accepts that people can be in love that is to have a love affair as if it is a good thing. I want to tell the world that that adultery is the most abominable sin to God and is difficult to be forgiven.
His friends added that Father John was told to sing 5 songs like this.
1.March forward you believer
   March forward with our army.
Let the cross be your guide.
2. Saviour Jesus you have come today, you are in us and we are in you. You  are in us and we are in you.
3.Holy, Holy, Holy, Holy.
4. Virgin Mary, wonderful mother.
5.Star of God, which takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
As his sickness was reported to a white man, the owner of the farm he was working for.The owner of the farm told those who were staying with Baba John to carry him to the reserve. On the way to the reserve, he passed away at 1’o’clock. The European was informed about what happened and went to see him at Nyamweda reserve. He then sent some worker to bury him (John) at 4’o’clock. They put him in the grave covered by some asbestos sheets intending to fill in the grave with soil the following day.
The following morning at 7’o,clock they went to the grave to fill, but they did not find him inside the grave. He had risen. They informed the European and he said that he would inform the police. When John had risen, he went to a hill called marimba, which is near the Hunyani river. No one saw him on the day he rose. On the following day he was seen on the hill singing the song “Hosanna”. They were very surprised to find him singing alone and they went to tell the European. The European who was the owner of the farm where he got sick asked him calling him by the name Peter what had happened. He began to talk about the vision he said when he was put in the grave he saw a man who came from heaven. That man carried him up and went into heaven. He took him to the first gate in heaven. He saw a man who had been sitting down and he told him that his name was Abraham. Abraham opened the gate for him. At the second gate there was a man called Isaac and at the third gate there was a man called Jacob. While he was at the gate, he heard a sound of thunder on the inside. He also heard much complaints and he trembled due to fear.
When he entered he saw a great river in front of him. On the other side of the river there was a village shining like the sun. Inside that village and outside of it, there were an uncomfortable number of people. He walked as far as the river and there he saw a man called Peter along with two other men who said that no one could enter into that village unless he was baptized. He put one foot into the water. Then a man called Jesus arrived and he took him by the hand.
As Jesus did this, a crowd of children arrived. They had been born as twins and some had been burnt while others had been suffocated in earthenware jars. Their forefathers had done all this. They spoke to me in a deep voice asking when the world would come to an end so that they can bring their cases against their fathers. When they were calmed down, they were given white garments and then they went away. (Rev.6 vs 10-11).
After them, there came infants who had been killed by witches. Those included those who were just at the crawling stage, those who were just able to talk, and those who had died while still in the womb. Those children were crying and asking why they had been killed. Then the angels spoke to Jesus and said that it would be better to send someone down to earth because the world was very, very evil. At this point Jesus baptized John (Johane). John put his right leg into the water and when he took it out it was white. The whole of his right side had also become white. The left side remained black as people on the earth (i.e. the people of Africa). John asked what the meaning of one side becoming white was and the other remaining black. He was told “the black side means if holy ones arrived (in heaven) they will be sent back to earth”: John then said that he would go back to earth as the world was evil.
Then Jesus told father John to go back to earth in order to drive away witches and to destroy all medicines, because the world is about to end. Jesus had also added that the churches had failed to teach the law that Jesus had given them. John answered that the churches had done as they wished themselves. Baba John told Jesus that he could not do such work but Jesus told Father John that he (Father John) would speak through the power of the one who would help him. Jesus told Father John that he was giving him the power of John Baptist of Judea who was crying out in the wilderness that people should repent and to leave their evil ways, and be baptized by water and by blood. Because the case of those infants complaining to Jesus day and night that the world should end was becoming very serious.
Jesus told the infant that the world would not come to an end before he should have sent someone to earth to teach people. Jesus said that in the world, He would not be able to send them away (from Heaven) because they would say that no one ever taught them God’s laws. (Rev 7:2-3). It was at the point that John was given the name “John the Baptist”. Jesus had said all these things to Father John when he was in the middle of the river. Father John was then baptized. After he was baptized, he sat under a tree. Around it, there was sand, which glistened, and holy grass with only one joint. The tree itself was shining as if oil had been poured on it. Then an angel showed him a large village. The angel had a large crown on it and it was like a mountain. Inside the crown, there were angels singing “Hosanna” Jesus told Father John that “Hosanna” was a song which he was to sing and also “Descend Holy Spirit to glorify us”
Jesus told Father John that he was going to give other witnesses to help him, to do his work in the world. The person who brought him to the third gate accompanied him back and found himself inside the grave. Beside him were a staff, a garment which was without seam, and a little book which was sealed with glue.
He took the three things and climbed to the top of the Marimba hill. Father John related the story as to what had happened to the European. The Europeans told him that he was mad and that he should go to stay at the reserve. Father John stayed at the Hunyani River where there was a deep pool it was there that he first saw stars falling. He used to cross that river in a canoe. He found the canoe there when he arrived. People from the districts of Nyamweda and Chivero used to gather there as well as people from Salisbury. When the Europeans heard that, they sent detectives to arrest him.
They brought him to Salisbury and locked him in the prison cells. At midnight, an angel told Father John to walk out of the cells, but Father John told the angel that the door was locked and the angel told father John that the angel already opened the door. Father John went out of the cells and sat down near the entrance of the cells. The following morning, the policeman working there came to him and asked how he came out of the cells. Father John told him that even he himself did not know how he (Father John) came out. The police officials took Father John’s staff, book and his garment. The other police officials also came to ask the same question and He answered them that he did not know how he came out of the cell. The police put him back into the cells.
For Father John’s food, he ate locusts and honey and he never felt hungry. On Thursday 9th October 1932 at 10.00a.m. he went to court. At court the magistrate ordered the police to hand back to him his three (3) items garments, staff and his small sealed book. In the accused box as he was asked what his name was, he told the court he was John the Baptist but they told him that he was Shoniwa. Father John agreed and told the court that he was named Shoniwa by his parents but then he was John the Baptist. He told the court that he was sent as a messenger to the Africans. He further told them messengers inherited that name whether they be Africans or whites. He also told them that He was once sent to Judea   as a white messenger but then there in Rhodesia he was sent as a messenger to the Africans.
In God’s language, John (Johane) means a new beginner or the beginner of new things. He was preparing a new way amongst black people. Our fathers never learnt the way, Father John added. The court told him that the old days was Jesus Christ, who told churches and bishops to teach people to pray, to be good people and to be baptized. Father John asked them that, if they had followed Jesus teachings would he have been sent to earth? The court decided that there was no evidence but he committed a religious offence. The court asked him if he had done any wrong and he told them that they had done wrong.
The court called the bishop and priest of the Roman Catholic and Anglican churches to question Baba John. The court told him that, the court would proceed the following morning, and he was put in the cells. That night an angel came and woke him up to leave the cells so that the name of Jehovah may be known to all the prisoners there. The angels took him to a prison yard where all the prisoners saw him. The police came and asked him the old question as to how did he come out of the cells and his answer was the same old answer. The police put him in the police car and he told them that he would walk on foot and he asked for an African police escort. On His arrival at court he found Five (5) Bishops, seven (7) priests and other heads of churches. The government representatives were also present. They made him to dress up like the previous day and then they asked of which church he was a teacher?
He told them that he was a teacher of the whole world. He further told them that he was telling people to stop practicing witchcraft, throw away their horns of medicine, pray to God and love one another. He told the people to throw away harmful medicines, because the world was coming to an end. The church delegates told him that they were also telling people that they should be baptized and stop doing wrong on earth. Baba John asked them whom they sent to the reserves and the towns. They answered that they had sent ministers (abafundisi). He told them that their ministers were friends of witches. They asked him why he said so and he said that he was sent by God because of two babies born from the same womb on the same day.
He also told them that God told him not to associate with witches. He told them that was not the way Christians should behave. He told them that in their beseeching day and night, the babies are saying, “father”, let the world end so that we may put on trial those Christians who, even though they pray, have killed us. He asked them why they practice witchcraft since they were Christians. Children were complaining about their killers and God told them that he was going to start once again the work of John the Baptist, the work of preparing the way. The priest told Father John that they were going to build him a church, so that people would come to listen to him. He told them that if they should build him a church it should be such that if a child is born today on the door step of the church, by the time the child would have gone around the church, that child would be a very old man. The priest asked what kind of a church could be built like and he told them that the meaning of that was that he (Father John) did not want a church built for him because the whole world was his church.

They asked him what he would eat in the wilderness. And he told them that he would eat locusts and honey. They asked him where the locusts would come from and he told them that his father told him that, that year the world would be filled with locusts, which he and his disciples would eat while preaching the gospel. The government said that, the situation required a doctor and they thought that he was mentally sick. The bishop instructed that the court should take his clothes that were the garment, staff, and small sealed book. The bishop added that they would send those items to England to King George and the pope. The bishops said that they thought his power were from those clothes.
After the clothes were taken away from him, they sent him to Gatooma to doctor Philemon, but he told them that he was not mad. The doctor suggested that he (father John) be thrashed and he would keep quiet. Baba John was beaten and the blood flowed like a river. The European policeman asked as to when was he going to stop what he was doing, and Father told the police official that he would not stop. It was ordered that he be taken to Salisbury. The Europeans in Salisbury told him to go back to his village and to continue with his lies. He reached Nyahubu and performed a lot of work there.
It is clear to me as a preacher that those years when Zimbabwe was still Rhodesia the white people did not believe that an African man would be a man of God. The miracle performed by an angel to open the cell’s door in the midnight for a man of God to walk out did not influence their mind to believe that Baba John was sent by God. The fact that he rose from death and the following day was found preaching on Mount Marimba failed to make them to believe that he was from God. Satan, the devil made them so stubborn to change their hearts and their minds. Even when they offered to build them the church, his response was not realised by them that it was a wise response and when he interpreted his statement that his church was the world they did not understand. The police remarks or insults that Baba John should leave for the rural areas to spread his lies there. I wonder when those people will confess their sins because they treated our Lord Father John like a criminal yet the court indicated that no crime was committed. The court invited the church leaders and he pointed out to them that they the Bishops and Priest failed to do what God instructed them to do. What happened to Lord Father John is exactly what happened to the Lord Jesus Christ.
The priests of those days were also stubborn to understand his mission until they crucified him. I would like to tell the world that this Father John was sent as the last messenger. No one will God send again .If people don’t want to believe as said and appealed to the people to believe in him, they will all be lost until they say blessed is “He who comes in the name of the Lord”. Our Lord Father John (Baba Johane) came in the name of the Lord on the 1st October 1932 on Mount Marimba in Zimbabwe.
The whole world should believe this news because no one will enter the kingdom beside him. He is the way and the life.
God bless you for reading this news

DESCENT OF FATHER JOHN ON MOUNT MARIMBA ON 1ST OCTOBER 1932
Father John descended on Mount Marimba on 1st October 1932 dressed in a seamless gown, holding a rod and a small book. These three items were miraculously found on him for nobody could tell where they were obtained. The rod seemed to be singing “Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna” in a very splendid voice. People perceived it as a great multitude of people. Read for yourself Rev 14:1-7.
From the mountain he went to the reserve called Nyamweda and he was possessed by the Holy Spirit and he prophesied many things to people. He cast out evil spirit and he had the power to convict people to forsake witchcraft. He urged people to stop worshipping their gods but to turn to the one living God who has eternal life. When he, Father John, was discoursed pouring out words of Life, he alerted them that there was another person that would come upon them. He told them that, that person had more power than them. And they would not be able to control him. It happened therefore that when many people had followed him, Father John led them to a small mount called Shinyamatamba. As he was with those people the Holy Spirit fell on those people thereby spoke in different languages. He then told the people that he was referring to the Holy Spirit when he told them that someone was coming.
As I am talking to you his entire congregation, the Holy Spirit possesses people; they are speaking in tongues, they prophesy, pray for sick people and are casting demons away. If you wish to experience the active work of the Holy Spirit in the church, please visit one of our congregations of Father John of the wilderness.
Father John is the lord I have no doubt. What I am saying and what I have revealed I will stand and die for because it is the truth. I am crying for the whole world to repent all nation, all colours, all tribes, all sinners to come back to God because he (God), will forgive your sins. The church where the Holy Spirit is not actively working is abominable in the eyes of God. I can hear you saying in your church the Holy Spirit is active because you believe that all those in the churches do have the Holy Spirit, I proclaim that for you to be possessed by the Holy Spirit, you should be baptized by the Holy Spirit not by the water. God bless you for reading this good news.
